Returns
- Eligibility: Products must be returned unused, in their original condition or casing, and accompanied by all original packaging and documentation. These requirements are established to ensure clarity and consistency throughout the returns process.
- Timeframe: Returns are required to be initiated within 14 days of delivery or pick‑up.
- Process: Return requests are to be submitted directly to Engineering Dynamics. Courier collection should then be arranged from the preferred address at the customer’s own cost. In this way, clarity and efficiency are maintained throughout the process.
- Refunds: Exchange and Refunds are provided for defective, damaged, or incorrect items. Requests are required to be submitted within 14 days of receipt.

Limited Warranties
Engineering Dynamics is recognised as the sole South African distributor of Easy‑Laser Equipment and Products. These products are manufactured under strict quality controls to ensure precision in measurement and monitoring.
Standard Warranty: A warranty period of one (1) year from purchase is provided, during which defective parts or products are repaired or replaced free of charge.
Exclusions:
Damage resulting from careless or incorrect handling is not covered.
Exposure to extreme temperatures, moisture, shock, or high voltages is excluded.
Unauthorised modifications, repairs, or dismantling are not permitted under warranty.
Secondary damages caused by product faults are not included.
Transport costs for equipment returned for repair remain the responsibility of the customer.
Customer Responsibility: Prior to equipment being sent for repair, all saved data must be backed up. Otherwise, resetting or loss of measurement data will not be covered by the warranty. Consequently, this precaution ensures that information remains protected.
- Lithium-ion batteries: Covered for 1 year, ensuring capacity remains above 70% after 300 charging cycles.
- Tablet computers: Warranty applies for 6 months from purchase.
- ATEX-certified measuring units: Supplied equipment complies with essential health and safety requirements for use in explosive atmospheres.

Easy-Laser operates under a comprehensive ISO 9001 quality management system, ensuring products are produced, marketed, and serviced to the highest standards.
Terms & Conditions
Warranty Coverage: The warranty applies exclusively to products purchased directly from Engineering Dynamics or through authorised distributors.
Proof of Purchase: For all returns and warranty claims, proof of purchase must be presented. Without this documentation, claims cannot be processed.
Inspection & Verification: Engineering Dynamics reserves the right to inspect and verify the condition of any product before refunds or warranty repairs are approved. Through this process, fairness and consistency are ensured.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: How long does the warranty last? The warranty is provided for most products for a period of one (1) year. Batteries are covered under a one‑year warranty, while tablets are protected for six (6) months. In this way, coverage is clearly defined for each product category.
Q2: Who pays for shipping when a product is returned? Transport and clearing costs (if applicable outside South African borders) are to be borne by customers. Equipment must therefore be sent back for repair or replacement at the customer’s own expense.
Q3: What should be done before sending a product for repair? All saved measurement data should be backed up prior to dispatch. Engineering Dynamics cannot be held responsible for data lost during repair or transportation. Consequently, this precaution ensures that valuable information remains protected. An RMA number must also be obtained by contacting Engineering Dynamics before the product is shipped.
